THE STORY

A famous artist invites her old friends out to her luxurious home and new swimming pool. For one night only, the group is back together, pretending to be bohemian and carefree. But a horrific accident puts an end to the nostalgia, and puts their host into a coma. None of them is sure who was first to take out a camera, but before too long her suffering is being claimed, exploited, and delighted in, because it makes wonderful art. A visceral and shocking play about the fragility of friendship and the jealousy and resentment inspired by success.

PRESS REVIEW

4 STARS - Winnipeg Free Press

"This production is impressive...The direction by Emma Welham is forthright and bold." - Winnipeg Free Press

"Pool (No Water) is a punch in the gut throughout its tense 65 minutes." - Winnipeg Free Press

"The ensemble cast are universally strong, and the direction moves swiftly and surely to the conclusion. With a minimum of props (six chairs and an inflatable pool) they create a multitude of settings seamlessly." - UMFM

"Pool (No Water) was an absolute highlight in what has been a very good Fringe" - UMFM
