Welcome and thank you for visiting!
I am an artist working primarily as a director. My work has been described as forthright, bold and impressive; and my goal is always to create a production steeped in specificity and heart. Currently, I am directing Jez Butterworth's The River for the Winnipeg Fringe (tickets available here). In the fall I will be moving to Montreal to begin the directing program at the National Theatre School of Canada. In the past year I directed Pool (No Water) for the Winnipeg Fringe, and assistant directed The Year of Magical Thinking (Prairie Theatre Exchange), The Dark Lady (a world premier co-produced by Shakespeare in the Ruins and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan), Little Shop of Horrors (a co-production between The Arts Club and the Citadel Theatre), and Sleuth (Vertigo Theatre). Outside of directing, my theatrical adventures have also led me to dramaturgy, performing and producing. I have worked for companies including The Arts Club, The Citadel Theatre, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Projects Manitoba, Dry Cold Productions, Shakespeare in the Ruins, Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, Vertigo Theatre, Manitoba Theatre for Young People and Prairie Theatre Exchange. I hold a B.A.H. from the University of Winnipeg, am an aluma of the Village Conservatory for Music Theatre, was an inaugural member of the Canadian Guild of Stage Director's Assistant/Associate Program, and have been mentored in directing by Ashlie Corcoran (through the Canadian Guild of Stage Directors and Choreographers' Mentee Program), Krista Jackson (through Creative Manitoba's Professional Mentorship Program) and Sarah Garton Stanley (through RMTC's National Mentorship Program). |
